Linux Mint 17.3 Review by a noob

Linux Mint 17.3 Review by a noob

This distribution is so ready for some of the people I want to help that I made a quick video about it. Deliberately brief and non-tech. And remember, this is Linux not Unix. The difference is significant and a great story should you decide to look into it’s creation.

This is free to download and use all you wish.

Instructions are out here for creating a bootable DVD or USB drive that allows you to test drive this without changing anything on your computer.

OpenSource – How can these scripts be free?

I work as much as possible using the free versions of scripts created by people dedicated to the OpenSource Concept. This keeps your costs down and offers near endless options.

OpenSource creative commonsA really smart person would define it thus: In production and development, open source as a development model promotes a universal access via a free license to a product’s design or blueprint, and universal redistribution of that design or blueprint, including subsequent improvements to it by anyone.  From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What this means to a website owner: Men and women all over the world who write code for the fun of it are constantly creating new tools, keeping current tools upgraded and ready to answer your call for something special when you need it. Test this theme and use it for free. If you really like it then send the creator $39 and they will turn on a few more features for you. Same with most all of the features you see on my demos.

Linux Mint 17.3 “Rosa” – Give it a week and you’ll forget all about Windows.

This business model seems alien to most. In person I often hear comments about, “Nothing is free,” or, “If it sounds too good to be true it must be BS.” A person still needs to pay for the tools to be set up and hosted somewhere but in most cases. using them is free.Swap Blender Resources
